Different Modes in Subnautica

 This game has four modes: survival mode, Freedom mode, hardcore mode, and Creative mode.

Survival Mode 

In this mode, you can build your base and craft new items. You will also be able to plant and harvest crops, collect resources, and even hunt for food. You can also fish for food in the ocean!

You will need to gather resources such as wood and stone from the ocean floor to build your base. You can use these resources to make new items like furniture, walls, doors, etc.

For instance: If you want to construct a chair, you would need wood & iron bars from the ocean floor (or if you have enough resources). You would then place these items into your crafting menu, and you will see a list of options available for crafting. Selecting an item will tell you how many bars/things it takes to create that item (e.g., one bar). 

From here on out, it's simple math—add all the bars required by all the different types of furniture until they equal 1 bar total (e.g., two chairs + 1 table + 1 bed). Once that number is covered, it's time to craft some furniture.

The game starts with a tutorial that lets you know the basics of exploring and building tools. Still, once you're comfortable with your new life as an explorer/builder on this alien planet, it's up to you to figure out precisely what needs doing to keep yourself alive and thriving.

Freedom Mode

Freedom mode is a unique, limited edition version of Subnautica with several benefits. First, you can craft items and weapons from the Salvage Yard in freedom mode. It adds another layer of strategy to the game because it allows you to prepare upgrades for your ship before heading into the depths.

Second, you can build bases on the seafloor. In addition to setting up safety zones around your base and exploring the surrounding area, you can also use the facilities at your command, for instance, if you urge to level up your guns or create an underwater farm.

Third, you won't be restricted by food consumption or oxygen levels while in freedom mode. You'll have unlimited access to food and oxygen at any time.

Finally and most importantly, you can continue playing after reaching escape velocity! In freedom mode, once you've reached escape velocity (just like in survival mode), you'll be able to pause & again resume where you left off without losing progress on any quests or achievements that aren't tied directly into story events.

There are two ways to play in Freedom Mode: one is called Exploration Mode, and it lets you explore the ocean by yourself without any restrictions on how far you can go or how long you can stay underwater. 

The other way is called Resource Gathering Mode, and it lets you gather resources from around the map using your scuba gear while still being able to travel around freely underwater and in the air.

Hardcore Mode 

The hardcore mode is an extraordinary difficulty level that adds more enemies, danger, and stress to the already-difficult world of Subnautica. The first thing you'll notice about the hardcore mode is that it appears when you've sunk deep enough into the ocean floor.

The water starts clear and blue but turns murky and red after a certain point. The second thing you'll notice about the hardcore mode is that it doesn't just add more enemies to your ecosystem; it also adds many of them! You'll see more sea creatures than ever, including sharks and giant octopi that can attack from a far. 

Once you're in hardcore mode, you can't just hide under rocks anymore; you have to escape from these predators by diving deep down into the water or climbing onto something solid like a shipwrecked submarine.

And lastly, when you die in hardcore mode, there's no going back. No respawning back into normal mode once you've killed in hardcore mode; that's it for good! You're done, and are there any survivors left alive on your island after all this blood-soaked carnage? They'll probably also commit suicide.

The difficulty level also affects how much oxygen is in the area where you are playing. If there is insufficient oxygen in a room, it will be harder to find resources and breathable air.

Creative Mode 

Creative mode is a way of playing the game that allows you to do things impossible in regular play. For example, you can build a submarine and put it in the water, or you can build a city and create an entire ecosystem.

You start with all of your resources available to you—you don't have to go out and gather them first. You also get unlimited oxygen and no hunger, so don't worry about food or air; these are things you'll find later in the game. There are also no enemies around; you will not lose to other players who want to steal your stuff!

The only thing that might come between you and total freedom is that there's no map, so if something happens on your island, there's no way out unless you know where everything is.
